I have played millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have wagered on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost a lot of money at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it nearly impossible to defeat the game.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this tactic or defeat the casino, nonetheless you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you’re not you are NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the wager back down to the original value.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a couple of years back with $750 after 35 minutes using this method! And a number of months ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be astonished at the streaks you see betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a five dollar game.

Bet twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the first 20 dollar wager

Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $40 bet
Bet 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the original $80 bet
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Wager $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first $160 wager
If you left at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s iffy to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and lower your wager or the final result will not be the same.
