I have wagered on countless of hands of chemin de fer. I began sneaking into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost all kinds of money at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it very hard to beat the house.
I still like the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have gambled on a type of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get loaded with this method or defeat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that blackjack appears to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy twenty-one. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original amount.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a few years back with $750 after 60 minutes using this technique! And a couple of weeks ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you see gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a 5 dollar table.
Wager 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial five dollar bet
Bet $5
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the initial $10 bet
Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of twenty dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the initial $20 bet
Bet twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the initial $40 bet
Wager $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet
Bet 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the first 1 hundred and 60 dollar wager
If you left at this point you would be up $315 !!
It is hard to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you must NOT alter and lower your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
