I have bet on millions of hands of 21. I began sneaking into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have bet on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of bankroll at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it nearly impossible to beat the game.
I still like the game and bet on a regular basis. Over this time period I have enjoyed a type of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or beat the casino, still you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that blackjack seems to be a game of runs. When you are hot your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy blackjack. When I lose I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the next hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a number of years ago with $750 after 30 minutes using this method! And a number of weeks ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You must comprehend that you can lose much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you see playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.
Bet 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial five dollar wager
Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total wager of ten dollar
Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the original 10 dollar wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave $10 paid to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Bet $20
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet
Wager twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the initial $40 wager
Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Bet $80
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $80 bet
Wager $80
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total bet of $160
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the first $160 bet
If you left at this instance you would be up three hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and drop your wager or the end result will not be the same.
