I have bet on millions of hands of blackjack. I began sneaking into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have played online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of cash at 21. The casinos have made it almost impossible to defeat the house.
I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have wagered on a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this method or beat the casino, still you will experience an abundance of fun. This method is founded on the fact that blackjack seems to be a game of runs. When you are hot your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!
I play basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the action back down to the original amount.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets very exciting at times. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quick. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a few years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this tactic! And a couple of months ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You must comprehend that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you see betting this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 game.
Bet 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 5 dollar bet
Wager $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the first ten dollar bet
Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the original $20 wager
Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Wager forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 40 dollar wager
Bet 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total bet of $80
Bet eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar wager
Wager 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $160
Bet $160
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial 160 dollar bet
If you left at this instance you would be up three hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is hard to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and lower your wager or the end result will not be the same.
